Our exclusive special editions can only be found through Swoon. We work closely with our authors, designers and artists to make something truly thoughtful and bespoke that our customers are proud to display on their trophy shelf.

Special Editions will always have a new cover design and special features such as foiling, UV spot print, debossed or embossed sections. We also can include sprayed edges, brand new end pages, internal illustrations, chapter art and page breaks.

Author

Scarlett Drake

She / Her

Scarlett writes mainly mm romance from her home in Scotland. A self-proclaimed cat lady and K-pop fangirl, she's written for Amazon Prime and been featured by Cosmopolitan.

After writing on Wattpad for ten years, she decided to self-publish her romantic duology A Dark Fall, and Into The Dark in 2021. After falling in love with the genre as a reader, she published her first queer romance, Hamartia in 2023. Oleander, a modern gay reimagining of Great Expectations, followed in 2024 and the sounds of hearts breaking could be heard all over.

Limerence, released in February 2025, is the second in the series which introduced us to the world of the Famous Young Things. Darling, was released in late 2025.

When not writing you can find her taking too many pictures of her cats, oversharing on Instagram, and obsessing over BTS.

Farah Faqir

She / Her

UK based Graphic Designer, Farah brings a passion for organisation and problem solving to deliver creative and thoughtful solutions and designs.

We were so pleased to have Farah, a Hamartia fan, on this project as her unique and enthusiastic insight made all our deliverables exceed every expectation (and it was so much easier to bounce ideas off each other!)

When she's not at her desktop, she can be found baking, making jigsaw puzzles, learning to draw portraits, reading books, learning to code or a million other things. It's fair to say she likes to keep busy!!

Noah Dao

He/ Him

Noah is a Vietnamese illustrator who draws inspiration from queer identities, emotions, and warm bright colours. He is a graduate of the Art and Design course at Monash university and has also earned a Master in Architecture & Design.

Some of his notable credits include the pin-up for DC pride 2023, Amazon Primes illustration for a movie My policeman feature pop singer Harry Styles and cover art for Dark horse comic featuring The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos: Children of the Night. Noah also work closely with local advocacy organisations such as Zoe Belle Gender Collective, Transgender Vic to support and provide illustrated resources for trans youth and LGBTQ+ community in Victoria.

Your favourite bookstores, favourite bookstore

Launching in June 2024, Swoon Bookstore started life as a retail indie bookstore with a focus on Queer titles and Australian authors. We created a steady community and began to dabble in bespoke pop up events and small-run special editions to compliment them. The pivotal moment in the next phase of the Swoon Story began with the inception of our first, fully featured Special Edition Book Box, Hamartia by Scarlett Drake, which was released April 2025.
