trong and sensitive sidekick, Echo, is everything Morgan ever dreamed of. And this powerful mage and flirty henchwoman is not letting the fact their employers are archenemies stand in the way of them starting a life together.
Faking her own death, Morgan starts anew as she and Echo head to the city of Laluna to open a bookshop inside a “barely haunted” church. They receive help from a shy tiefling carpenter looking to make a name for herself, and a chatty mousefolk librarian with big dreams. Igni—a feisty fire spirit who wants to eat the books—is more of a hindrance, but at least he keeps the shop warm.
Everything is perfect—as long as the villain Avery, Morgan’s old boss, doesn’t find out she’s alive. But the unexpected arrival of Broadshield, the annoyingly charming hero and Echo’s previous companion, puts Morgan’s cosy life in jeopardy. Can Morgan keep her happy ending or will her secrets destroy everything?
Enemies to Booksellers by Laura Catherine is a cosy, slice-of-life fantasy about new beginnings, found families, and heart-warming vibes—perfect for fans of Travis Baldree and Rebecca Thorne.
Gabriel
Theo Coatl was supposed to be just a job.
On paper, my twin and I are recent grads moving into the eccentric artist’s mansion for a once-in-a-lifetime internship opportunity.
In reality, Dre and I are spies for our clan—a pair of supes known as Shock and Awe who could melt our enemy’s brain as easily as we could extract the intel we were after.
Whatever works.
But our mark isn’t the only one keeping secrets, and Theo’s proximity is… doing things to me. This man could fulfill every dark desire I’ve buried beneath the surface. Things even my twin doesn’t know I crave.
Too bad exploring my fantasies isn’t part of the plan.
Andre
Gabe and I may have been sent to this hideous McMansion on a mission, but the instant Theo Coatl sashayed into view, our plans changed.
At least, mine did.
Wolfy’s original instructions were clear—get in Theo’s head, get the intel, and get out. But I took our eldest brother’s words as more of a suggestion than anything.
And my idea is better.
Because I see the way Theo looks at my twin—like he wants to eat him alive. Never mind that the man is a potentially deadly being of unknown origins, or that I want to discipline him so badly I can taste it.
Gabe is the bait.
Theo is our prey.
And if I get to play with the brat before we end him, well, what could be the harm in that?
Theo
It had been so long since I’d enjoyed a proper hunt, I was nearly giddy with excitement.
And what delightful prey I’ve found!
The twins are perfect. Broody angel Gabriel is pretending to resist my advances, while practically begging me to take what I want. And Andre is playing his cards close with absolute control—which only encourages me to defy him more.
As there’s nothing I love more than misbehaving.
I do have an agenda here on earth, however—one my interns can legitimately assist me with.
So, while I can’t wait to make a pretty pair of puppets out of these unsuspecting humans, I’ve decided to at least try to lure them in slowly. Really savor the experience.
Since it will be the death of them in the end.
I killed mindlessly for 15 years.
A curse trapped me inside my werewolf, and I became the perfect killing puppet for the warlock controlling me.
Screams of my victims haunt me.
The phantom warmth of blood heats my hands.
And guilt eats away at my psyche.
I don’t deserve love.
I don’t deserve a mate.
Who could ever love a monster like me?
Ru does.
My little lucky charm from another planet.
No matter how much I warn her.
No matter how I try to scare her.
No matter how many times I threaten her.
She stays.
But she doesn’t understand my kind.
Werewolves are violent creatures.
And if my wolf doesn’t get his way, it isn’t just her heart I’ll be ripping out, but mine too.
Which, in 14 days, is exactly what will happen.
A night of violence and lust awaits, and I’m doubtful she can survive me.
Our lives are on the line, but so is my brother’s.
14 days to find the treatment for his sickness.
14 days to survive on an unknown planet.
14 days to see if I kill my mate.
The full moon is rising.
And I wish it wouldn’t.
121 years without hope has a soul become silent.
Salem, Massachusetts.
The home of magic. The hell of the damned.
The place where I rest until the end of time.
There is only one way for me to wake from my coma.
My beloved must find me and feed me her blood before I turn to ash.
It’s a rarity for a vampire to meet his blood mate.
I knew when the coma took me, I’d die.
In the dark.
Alone.
Until Maven Wildes buys my estate.
Her presence at the house wakes my spirit.
But not my mind.
I want her out of my home more than I want to breathe fresh air.
Unfortunately, the infuriating beautiful woman refuses to leave.
Yet… meeting me revives a lost magic in her veins.
And now breathing her in is all I want.
Our love creates power a warlock craves.
He’ll spill blood to have Maven, but I’ll drink his until his heart stops.
I will always protect my beloved with my entire being.
Even if it means spending my days in eternal night.
I detest Fate.
All vampires crave more than the rich taste of blood is their beloved, but I’m betrayed. I’m left hopeful and hopeless. Against all attempts, my heart has been poisoned against me.
My belief is gone.
A lie has been weaved for far too long and I fell into the web like so many others before me.
I must ease the ache of time. No longer will I yearn for a fairytale. This torture comes to a stop. To find love, I follow tradition instead. A matching ceremony.
And she changes all I know.
She stops the ache. Time is frozen.
My ability to breathe is robbed and held in her clutches. My blood sings for her.
How is she not my beloved?
No other will have my heart, but magic finds a way to obliterate it. A war steals everything from me. I’m left holding my newborn daughter as we fall into darkness.
I will never be made a fool again. In life. In death. I write my own fate.
My love, my faith, my choices…
Eternally, are Hers.
In the dimension where fire meets ice, my mate waits for me.
And if I don’t go to him, I’ll die.
I know I’m lucky to have a mate at all.
Most would rejoice. Most would run to them.
Not me.
I want to stay with my family.
I was trapped in the veil for the majority of my life, fighting to survive.
And I’m supposed to leave them for a man I don’t know?
I’m tired of Fate making the decisions for me.
Yet…
The ache in my chest becomes too much.
The thirst in my throat becomes unbearable.
The need to mate is a call I can no longer ignore.
Even if I’ve never touched or kissed another.
How will I satisfy him?
Finally, I go to my prince only to learn that I have not one, but two mates.
A dragon and an elf.
Not only do they rule separate kingdoms—they are mortal enemies.
Hatred is rooted deep in my dragon’s fire and my elf guards a secret close to his heart that he refuses to tell.
Forgiveness is the only solution.
And the journey to getting it might be what kills us all.

What good is keeping a promise when it no longer benefits those you love?
In the heart of the Melsheim Forest, the Enkantian witches are thriving, protected by the magic within Vaasis. But that magic is not enough to shield Mallrie and Cyan Delacroix from living under their oppressive father’s shadow or their mother's stifling expectations. Cyan, having enough of Atherton’s abuse, works with his brother to rid them of their father once and for all. However, the Fates work in mysterious ways, and when one obstacle is removed, another emerges. But a Delacroix always keeps their promise—especially when it comes to revenge.
“If this is love, I can’t imagine how it feels to hate her.”
No one outskates Cat Harvey.
Hips like steel and mean blocks have set her apart as the ultimate weapon for the Devil's Dames Roller Derby league.
A false start–a misstep, is all it takes to blow up her carefully curated life and shove her into the back burner of the squad she’s dedicated her all to.
Being replaced wasn’t part of the plan; especially by a cocky little has-been in a braid and torn pantyhose.
Hate.
Loathing.
Addiction.
They're the only feelings that can bring a skater like Cat to her knees.
The fine line between love and hatred can be crushed, snorted or injected.
But it can’t be ignored.

Denver
Everyone remembers the night the boy band Eleven broke up. Hearts shattered around the world, including my own. I made a mistake, and I’ve been avoiding bandmate Mason Nash ever since. At first it was hard, but eighteen months ago, he made it easier by leaving Hollywood and disappearing. When Eleven reunion talks start, I’m against it completely. I could really do with the publicity, but I don’t want to face Mason again. I’m sure he won’t want to see me either.
Mason
I don’t miss LA or anyone in it. Not even the guys from Eleven. So, when they turn up on my doorstep talking about reunions, the last thing I want to do is hear them out. I hold strong too. Until my eyes land on Denver Smith. My ex-best friend. Two and a half years ago, he ghosted me, and I still don’t know why. I want answers—I miss him—but I don’t want to let him back into my life if there’s a chance he’ll walk away again.
After fighting and killing dragons for years, Asith Evourin is finally enjoying an early retirement, using his free time to trace the location of his father, who's been missing since Asith's youth. But all that changes when a Bronze dragon lands in a field of his small village. Asith is the only dragon knight who can step up to protect Cairn from the wrath of this beast, but in doing so, Asith is kidnapped by the dragon and brought back to their hoard.
Surprised he hasn't become an instant meal, Asith interrogates the dragon, named Dradevai, to gather enough information to plan an escape. But he doesn't expect Dradevai to be such a lonely, gentle soul. Everything he knows about the dragon knights might be wrong, and befriending this dragon might prove some shocking discoveries, such as the whereabouts of his father.
Recognizing that a close relationship with a dragon might jeopardize their safety, Asith must decide how close to keep Dradevai and how badly he wants to uncover the history of the dragon knights and his homeland.

It doesn’t matter that I’m trying to move on with the goalie of his NHL team. Knox is dead set on ruining everything.

The man can hold a grudge like no other, and I am public enemy number one. I have been for six years, ever since he threatened me and stormed out of my life.

What’s that saying? What goes around, comes around? You torch my house, I demolish yours?
Kohen Osman is a pyromaniac who keeps trying to steal my gig—which is… well, stealing. The difference is, he has sticky fingers because he’s a spoiled brat who thinks he’s better than the family of junkies that live down the block.
I thought life at reform school would be better with neither Kohen or my family anywhere in sight. But my freedom from them was short and not sweet. There’s only so much a person can take before they turn into dust.
One day, he’ll burn for everything he’s done. They all will.
And I’ll be the one who lights the match.
They branded me as a thief – but with everything at stake, they’ll soon find out I’m a fighter.

“All I have left…” begins the narrator of the title story in Figs, Lukas Tallent’s second collection of flash fiction, where characters are enthralled, trapped, dislodged, and sometimes, redeemed by their incessant want for another.
"Figs is hot and aching. Every story is pulled taut, thrumming with tension: sexual or otherwise. Its characters reach for physical reminders of their desires: discarded still warm t-shirts, lip stained coffee mugs, streaks of body wash clinging to shower walls. They’ve lost something, are hungry, even desperate, to claw it back. By the end of this collection, like them, you’ll want more.

Maybe I’ve made a mistake. My cottage, albeit charming, needs nonstop work, the weather’s abysmal, and my last bank account statement simply said, “Bless your heart.” But I don’t regret moving to the Swedish countryside. The job is great, and I’m making friends. Who said Swedes were cold and distant? I only need some cheap firewood to tide me over until the real spring arrives.
Out of nowhere comes rescue—a gorgeous Viking on a tractor. He helps me with firewood and drives me to the hardware store. I shouldn’t be crushing on Björn since he looks as straight as they come. But then the shy hunk of a man turns up on my porch with a bag of cinnamon rolls, blushing…
Björn
Life is uneventful for a gay man in a village of three hundred people, but I like it quiet. I have fifteen thousand hectares of forest to manage, so it’s not like I get bored.
Except now an American from the South bought an old cottage on the edge of my property and he’s shoveling April snow in his sneakers. The good people of Gryta are already betting on when he’ll run back to Stockholm.
Eric is in dire need of help, so here I am, dangling on a ladder, pressure-washing the gutters on his cottage. He’s absolutely charming, gorgeous, and all my wet dreams come true. I wish I could at least slow down my falling in love with him—because what if he leaves?
